AI without gurus, myths and magic: real automations

On May 30, 2026 the conference PlovdivConf was held in Plovdiv, which is part of the IT Tour series – technology conferences across the country for computers and computer technologies.

Lately, I’ve noticed that the main focus at conferences and media is Artificial Intelligence (AI). A separate topic is that it’s true that it’s artificial, but it’s very far from “intelligence”.

There’s no way, I’m also dealing with AI, and we’re actually applying it in our work. Beyond the hysteria, or as it’s fashionable to call it “hype”, AI is very useful, but it’s not exactly what all the AI gurus are trying to explain to us. It’s not magic that will solve all of our problems.

With a lot of effort, trial and error, and training, I’m also managing to use it effectively in our work.

When I saw that this conference had open positions for presentations, I decided to join and share my experience on the topic. To try to give my colleagues the experience I have gained and possibly save them at least some of the pointless hopes and problems they could bring with AI.

Thanks to Stefan Vartolomeev and the IT Tour team for the excellently organized conference. And for me it was the honor and pleasure to make my modest contribution by sharing my experience.

Here is a link to the presentation and to the discussion panel in which I was included.
